Abstract:Whether the inner Solar System experienced an episode of intense bombardment remains uncertain, and the impact flux during its early history has long been debated. Resolving this question is essential for understanding early geological activity, planetary formation, and the evolution of the Solar System. The Moon provides an exceptional record for investigating the early bombardment history of the inner Solar System. In this talk, I will present my recent work on constraining the early impact flux of the Moon, the Earth, and Vesta, and the inner Solar System as a whole.
